Dream of Me and Live

Joel 2:28-29 (NASB) 28 " And it will come about after this That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions. 29 "And even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.   Knowing that we are now living in the end times, many western Christians are speculating just how far we are now into the end times. I agree that the long shadows of the four horseman of the apocalypse  (Rev. 6:1-6) seem to be nearly gone and about to transpire. This leads to conjecture about the possibility of the Antichrist (2 Thess. 2:3-4) not only being alive right now in our world, but also that he is just about to be revealed. With this in mind, some are jumping on a shaky bandwagon asserting that a rabbi named Chaim Kanievsky claimed before his death (on March 18, 2022 ) that he had been in discussions with the Messiah himself . The problem with this assertion is ...

Always Be Ready for the Unknown and Unexpected

Particularly in reference to what is called the Rapture, or Jesus’ return to the earth to suddenly catch away believers to Himself. If you believe in a pre-Tribulation Rapture like I do, then it will occur before the coming seven-year judgment of Israel and the world known as the Tribulation. Although Jesus was not at all vague about the subject, social media is awash with well-intentioned but sensational teachings that use all kinds of so called justifications that “prove” when Jesus is coming back. Even though Jesus specifically stated that no one knows the day or hour of His return, the prophetic landscape is replete with people who quickly deny that they are setting dates, but still use other means to point Christians to likely a particular “high alert season” of His return. They use gematria, Strong’s Concordance numbers (it’s a reference book, not a Bible), constellation/star positions, blood moons, solar eclipses, visions, dreams, supposed cryptic “clues or phrases” in scrip...

Four Trustworthy Truths

2 Timothy 2:11-13 (NASB) 11 It is a trustworthy statement: For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him; 12 If we endure, we will also reign with Him; If we deny Him, He also will deny us; 13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.   This “sure and trustworthy” statement is one of five used by the apostle Paul in his pastoral epistles (1 Tim. 1:15; 1 Tim. 3:15; 1 Tim. 4:9, 2 Tim. 2:11-13; Titus 3:8). It may well have been his last prison letter written to Timothy to instruct and encourage him with Paul sensing that the time of his death was near. Some scholars suggest that these verses may well have been a saying used in part during a previous baptismal ceremony, but it illustrates four truths that instruct and encourage every believer about their life in Christ here on earth, and also their bright, eternal destiny to come.   Two Positive Truths   These truths are promised in the Word of God, and are also dependable, unal...
